Superb opaline glass creamer by Mount Washington Glass Co., c. 1880s - 1890s. The glass body of the piece has two transfer printed scenes of lovers, each with a Boucher signature. These are after Francois Boucher (1703-1770), a famous French painter/artist who lived during the Rococo period.
The creamer features raised enameling that is hand applied; hand painted gold accents; and a silver plate rim, handle, and lid. The lid has an exquisite little bird finial.
CONDITION
There are areas of paint fading (see photos).
