French gilt inkwell dating from the 19th century!
The filigree gilt framework has a daisy on the front. The dish and the inkwell are made of cobalt coloured glas (the blues differ a bit in tone) and depict handpainted floral ornaments. A rooster is perched on the top.
The overall height measures 5 1/2".
The gildings have been professionally polished and the lid of the inkwell might be a later replacement
